Today is the renaissance of Hellenic Nation on 25th March 1821 declaring to fight or die in a revolution against Ottoman Empire. Durring Revolution Dionisios Solomos in island of Zante (Zakinthos) was hearing the battle and he wrote a poem dedicated to Liberty . That poem become the national anthem of Greece.
